Mali : Statement of the WPC

The World Peace Council (WPC) denounces the brutal military intervention of France in Mali , which is being carried out with the full support of the European Union and NATO. It constitutes the continuation of the implementation of the imperialist plans for the geo-strategical control of broader areas of Africa, as we have seen it in 2011 with the bloody intervention and bombing of Libya .

Their goal are the energy resources which are object of fierce rivalry between imperialist forces and centers, which however go hand in hand in the slaughter of the peoples under various pretexts each time.

The WPC expresses its outrage about the new crime of imperialist France, which is preparing together with its NATO allies also to attack and intervene against Syria and while threatening Iran.

We demand the immediate end of the aggression and the withdrawal of French military forces along with the ones of the European Army and NATO

The vast majority of mankind and of the peoples is rejecting the “peace” missions of the EU and NATO which are promoting the interests of the multinational corporations while causing death and more misery to the peoples.

We denounce the massacre of the people of Mali by the imperialist forces and call upon the peace loving peoples of the world to react with diverse actions against the imperialist plans in Africa .

The Secretariat of WPC 16th January 2013
