  In celebration of Fanon’s centenary, we repost an interview with the Tunisian sociologist, Frej Stambouli who remembers his teacher Frantz Fanon. Stambouli describes Fanon’s lectures at the university in Tunis in 1959, and his unique conception of psychiatry and promotion of open psychiatry as a “pathology of freedom”.
