There was a widely supported general strike in Chad that lasted for a month from 20th February, 2024. This was over the military government increasing the price of fuel by 40% in the middle of February and the coming to an end of the three year social pact between some trade unions and the government without many agreed actions having been implemented. Indefinite strikes were also held more briefly in the education and health sectors from mid-March.

Madagascar : Fonctionnaires et une grève de plus
14 juin 2013, par Randria MLes agents du fisc et les douaniers viennent s’ajouter aux inspecteurs d’Etat pour réclamer leurs droits. Si les fonctionnaires des impôts ont entamé leur grève hier 04 mai 2013, les douaniers ont décidé de donner un préavis de 48 heures à partir de cette date à 8 heures au ministre des Finances et du Budget.

La Réunion : la grève continue à Aquanor
10 août 2015Huit mois après l’inauguration du parc aquatique, rien ne va plus à Aquanor, à Saint-Denis. Hier, les 70 salariés du site ont mis leur menace de grève illimitée à exécution. Résultat, si les salles dédiées au fitness sont restées accessibles, les bassins étaient totalement fermés.
