  Nous, Membres du Mouvement des Forces Vives du 23 juin, signataires de la déclaration rendue publique à la Salle Daniel Brottier le 22 juin 2011, sommes réunis le 24 juin à l’effet de tirer le bilan et dégager les perspectives des manifestations organisées le 23 juin sur l’ensemble du territoire national et dans la diaspora contre le projet de loi instituant l’élection simultanée d’un président et d’un vice-président avec seulement 25% des suffrages exprimés.

  Sous l’impulsion de la Banque Mondiale et des institutions capitalistes internationales, le régime du Maroc a entamé un processus de privatisation des universités et d’attaques contre le droit aux études. L’annonce du « Plan d’urgence » au début de l’année universitaire, c’est à dire de l’aggravation brutale de ces attaques, a mis le feu aux poudres.   New York, le 19 juillet 2010—L’arrestation samedi dernier par les autorités burundaises du journaliste Jean-Claude Kavumbagu, inculpé pour trahison à la suite d’un article critiquant les forces de sécurité du pays est alarmante, a déclaré aujourd’hui le Comité pour la protection des journalistes (CPJ). M. Kavumbagu est actuellement détenu à la prison de Mpimba sise à Bujumbura, la capitale burundaise.

• Swaziland : TUC condemns arrests of Swaziland and South African trade union democracy demonstrators

  On the eve of a global day of action on democracy in Swaziland tomorrow (Tuesday), the Swazi Government has arrested trade union demonstrators from Swaziland and neighbouring South Africa.
  The TUC has called on the Swazi Government to release them and allow peaceful demonstrations to take place.
