We are one of the political organizations from Swaziland called The Swaziland Peoples Liberation movement (SPLM) that is deeply committed to the course of democratic change in our nation. Each day we witness the growing atrocities of the Tinkhundla regime and King Mswati, who dominate the Judiciary system with an iron grip.
The unjust sentencing of members of parliament, Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube, symbolises the oppression we endure. Their only "crime," as judged by the regime, was the bold demand for democratic change, a cause that led to their imprisonment since July 2021 on trumped up charges of murder and terrorism.
Our brave parliamentarians were sentenced to a staggering collective term of 68 years on the 15th July 2024. It is a clarion call of the urgent need for intervention in our struggle for democracy. Furthermore, we call on the international community to mediate a political dialogue in Swaziland.
Our fight for freedom and equality is not a solitary one. We make a plea to the global community to join hands with us and raise their voices against this impenetrable injustice. Our story must be broadcasted, our call for reform must be reverberated, and our demand for justice must stem from the heart of every individual who values dignity and human rights.
Therefore, we urge you to support us in our fight for justice by signing this petition, demanding the immediate release of Bacede Mabuza Mthandeni Dube, and other political prisoners in Swaziland, in igniting the flames of a peaceful dialogue. Your signature can be a catalyst for change we eagerly
