Le durcissement des autorités éthiopiennes envers la presse privée a causé la fermeture de plus de six publications en l’espace de quelques semaines et a poussé sur les routes de l’exil une trentaine de journalistes éthiopiens depuis le début de l’année 2014. Cette répression inégalée depuis 2005 s’explique, selon des analystes locaux, par la volonté du gouvernement éthiopien de faire table rase de la presse indépendante à la veille des élections législatives prévues pour mai 2015.

Ouganda : Radio station succumbs to pressure, suspends political talk show

The station’s director reportedly made the decision after he attended a district security meeting in which the issue was discussed.
